What is remote training?
Remote training is for highly motivated athletes who aren't able to train with us in-person or lack a highly qualified training program. Each athlete will have an individualized 7 day program and unlimited access to a performance coach right at their fingertips. Our coaches have either played or are currently playing at the highest levels of baseball and are very much in-tune with the latest training developments involving pitching, strength & conditioning, nutrition and overall health. We hope you will take this opportunity to join our "K's Family" and become our next big success story.
What ages do we work with?
We work with High School, College, and Professional athletes.
Is the program individualized?
Yes. After completing the Throwing Assessment, Pitch AI Biomechanical Assessment, and Movement Assessment, your performance coach will create a customized 7 day plan for you based on both the results of the assessments and your performance goals. You will have access to individualized throwing programs, strength & conditioning programs, arm care programs, drill work, corrective exercises warmup routines, and nutritional goals.
What equipment will I need?
There is a minimal equipment requirement. At minimum for our throwing/arm care program we highly recommend having a set of J-Bands or Crossover Symmetry Bands along with a set of plyocare balls. You will also need either a consistent partner to play catch with or a net along with access to a pitching mound. At minimum for our strength program you will need access to a gym which includes squat racks, benches, and free weights. More on equipment needs will be discussed in our questionnaire. However, because the program is individualized we will be able to work around any limited access to equipment.
Do you work with position players? Or pitchers only?
We work with ALL positions. The only difference for position players is different throwing programs and drill work.
Is this program only for off-season training?
No. We offer year round programming which includes In-season adjustments to throwing programs, strength programs, and arm care programs.
How much of a time commitment is remote training per week?
A significant time commitment is required every week. We generally say around 15-20 hours will be required of your time per week. This time commitment will vary based on what phase of of training you are in along with if you are either In-season or out of season. We do work around multi-sport athlete's busy in-season schedules and take that into account when creating an athlete's program.
What if I already have a strength program at school?
No problem. Ideally your school program is flexible and will allow you to replace/supplement our strength programs. If not, no worries we will work around your school's strength program.
Will I be doing the same program every week?
No. Our programs will follow 3-4 week phases with different goals for each phase. This includes throwing programs, strength programs, and arm care programs.
Will I have access to my own coach?
Yes. Each athlete will be assigned their own Performance Coach and have unlimited communication with them throughout the week.
Why does the first month cost more?
The first month costs more due to the Assessment/Startup fee. This fee covers the first month of training and the completion of our Mechanical Throwing Assessment, PitchAI Biomechanical Assessment, and Movement Assessment. Once these have been completed your Performance Coach will begin individualizing your first 6 months of programming. We offer Commitment Incentives at 7 months and 13 months of training with us. After 6 months of training your 7th month is free ($196 value). After 12 months of training your 13th month is free ($196 value). Essentially if you train with us for 1 year your Assessment Fee pays for itself. We value athletes who are highly committed and have long term training goals.
Do you guys work with injured athletes or athletes that are rehabbing an injury?
Yes. We encourage injured athletes to train with us. We have worked with numerous injured athletes and our Performance Coaches have experience returning from throwing related injuries. We offer return to throw programs for UCL/Forearm injuries, Rotator Cuff injuries, and other overuse arm related injuries.
How do you keep track if athletes are following their program?
We utilize a "Daily Intake" system. This allows athletes to input how they are feeling each day and if they completed their work for that day. Performance Coaches will be checking in with each athlete on a weekly basis to ensure training is running smoothly and to make any adjustments to programming. We require athletes to send us video of them performing throwing/pitching drills, strength exercises, and arm care exercises. This helps us ensure that each piece of programming is being performed correctly and allows us to give feedback on any mechanical adjustments we see fit. We also take advantage of a free nutrition intake app called My Fitness Pal. We require each athlete to download this app and send screenshots of their caloric intake each week so we can help navigate any weight gain/loss goals an athlete may have.
